Job Description Carbon60 are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a client of ours based in Portsmouth. Our client is a pronoun for the aviation, space, and defence sectors. This position is a contract role lasting a minimum of 6 months. The Electrical Engineer role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to join a dynamic and innovative company. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Producing specifications from product or architecture requirements
Defining interfaces of the electrical systems
Creating system diagrams and/or circuit diagrams
Considering and designing to electrical safety guidelines
Performing detailed design in CAD/CAM implementation on component/equipment/mechanical level in accordance with engineering design rules
Defining test strategy and validating design
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Demonstrated ability to master the area of electronics and electromagnetic, including requirements capture and validation, design, simulation, integration, verification, certification, and support activities
Knowledge of test and measurement techniques, as well as the latest electrical or electronic design methods and tools
Ability to provide detailed data and information about system elements to enable implementation consistent with architectural entities
Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with various disciplines throughout the product lifecycle
Educated to at least Degree Level or equivalent in a recognised engineering discipline, preferably with Chartered Engineer status and membership in the IET or other equivalent body
