American Panel Solutions Automation Engineer
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that optimize production efficiency, ensure product quality, and reduce downtime. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment and a passion for renewable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, program, and troubleshoot automated control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA) across various production lines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, Equipment, Maintenance, Quality) to identify automation opportunities and implement cost‑effective solutions. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and automation upgrades. Perform root‑cause analysis of recurring automation issues and implement corrective actions. Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, control logic, and SOPs. Train maintenance and production personnel on system operations and troubleshooting. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, throughput, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with electrical and safety codes and company standards. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field. 3+ years of automation engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (solar industry a plus). Proficient with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and industrial networking. Familiarity with sensors, actuators, servo systems, and machine vision systems. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience:
Experience in high‑speed, high‑precision automated production systems. Prior work in solar cell/module manufacturing or other clean‑energy technologies.
