Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Join Apex Systems in this role focused on leading the RFx development, negotiation, and source selection processes for Navy Federal Credit Union.
Job Description Responsible for leading RFx development, negotiation, source selection, and due diligence activities for potential vendors. Ensure compliance with Navy Federal procurement policies and procedures. Leverage best-in-class practices to drive innovative Total Cost of Ownership initiatives and support business goals.
Responsibilities
Assist the strategic sourcing organization in aligning sourcing priorities, conducting market research, and mitigating issues.
Prepare, issue, and manage RFPs/RFIs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop business unit requirements and Statements of Work.
Administer supplier due diligence process including NDAs, source justification, and intake request triage.
Partner with Procurement to ensure effectively negotiated contracts meet desired financial terms.
Analyze large data sets to support objective outcomes.
Maintain relationships with lines of business, stakeholders, and external contacts.
Collaborate with stakeholder groups to achieve objectives aligned with Navy Federal’s strategy.
Drive partner satisfaction through responsiveness and relationship building.
Support senior staff with business unit requirement analysis, supplier recommendation, and acquisition planning.
Assist in source selection of pre‑qualified vendors and conduct market analysis.
Obtain and analyze vendor performance data to inform sourcing activities.
Maintain vendor documentation, performance information, compliance metrics, and value capture records.
Assist in product category strategy development and research new product options to drive TCO savings.
Perform market data analysis and monitor relevant market conditions for assigned categories.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience preparing and reviewing RFPs, RFIs, SOWs.
Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, subcontracts management, or procurement.
Experience managing vendor selection, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Strong initiative and sound judgment in decision‑making.
Ability to resolve conflicting requests and manage multiple priorities independently.
Effective communication, presentation, negotiation, facilitation, and data analytics skills.
Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management and accuracy.
Ability to work with all organizational levels and collaborate across boundaries.
Innovative thinking and data analysis to solve problems.
Proficiency with database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements
3–5 years procurement, vendor management, and/or risk management experience.
Working knowledge of Navy Federal functions, philosophy, operations, and objectives.
Professional certification (CPSM).
Bank Secrecy Section (BSA) Remains cognizant of and adheres to Navy Federal policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
