Position Overview The Investor Relations Associate will work closely with Weatherford’s Head of Capital Formation and the rest of the Weatherford Partners to support all Investor Relations, Marketing, and Capital Formation activities of the Firm. This individual will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing internal processes and infrastructure; creating and analyzing reports; contributing to investor communications; responding to investor requests and deliverables; assisting in meeting preparation and follow‑up; and managing the day‑to‑day use of the firm’s CRM and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Management: Help to manage the firm’s Client Relationship Management tool, ensuring accurate data, regular updates, and optimal use for tracking investor interactions and pipeline development. Ensure all relevant firm and portfolio data (capital calls, distributions, commitments, performance, etc.) is captured, updated, and accessible in the CRM / internal systems. Automate or streamline recurring reporting, data extraction, and investor tracking tasks. Build dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools for senior leadership to monitor fundraising progress, investor engagement, LP pipeline, and retention metrics.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data on current and prospective investors to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Prepare detailed reports to support Partners in managing LP relationships and sourcing new LPs.
Process Development: Design and implement internal processes to streamline investor relations operations, including data management, reporting workflows, and communication protocols.
Investor Communications: Work with internal stakeholders and external marketing resources to draft and produce high‑quality investor communications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly reports, and ad‑hoc updates, ensuring consistency with Weatherford’s brand and compliance requirements. Create initial drafts and coordinate reviews for regular investor communications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly reports, performance updates, capital call/distribution notices, and ad hoc updates. Coordinate compliance/legal review of investor communications as needed. Manage the investor portal / data room where LPs access documents.
Investor Relations & Client Support: Support LP on‑site visits, including logistics, agenda creation, presentation support, and follow‑up. Track deliverables and deadlines for LPs, ensuring commitments are met.
Fundraising & Marketing Support: Prepare and maintain marketing and presentation materials, including but not limited to pitch decks, fund overview decks, data rooms, teaser sheets, fact sheets, fund summaries, and due diligence materials. Coordinate and respond to investor diligence requests, RFIs, RFPs, DDQs, and ad hoc LP requests; liaise with internal stakeholders (investment, operations, legal) to collect responses. Assist in organizing and executing investor meetings, roadshows, webinars, and on‑site visits. Track fundraising pipelines, follow‑up schedules, and tasks to drive deals forward.
Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, investor preferences, and competitive positioning to inform capital formation strategies; gather qualitative and quantitative information on peer firms and funds to assist the partners in making strategic decisions and better positioning Weatherford Funds with prospective investors.
Compliance Support: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all investor communications and data management practices adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., SEC, FINRA).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, marketing or a related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in investor relations, finance, operations, or a related role within private equity, asset management, or investment banking.
Prior roles could include analyst positions in investor relations, fund operations, or financial reporting at a private equity firm, hedge fund, or wealth management firm.
Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional written communication skills for drafting clear, concise, and professional investor communications.
Interpersonal and client service orientation: comfort interacting with high‑net‑worth individuals, institutional investors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with CRM platforms and database management is strongly preferred; experience implementing or optimizing CRM workflows is a plus.
Familiarity with private equity fundraising processes and related tools is a positive, including investor databases, conferences, and performance analysis tools.
Basic understanding of private equity fund structures, terms, and regulatory requirements is also helpful.
Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and a curiosity to explore how to implement them in daily activities is desirable.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑starter mindset, capable of taking ownership of projects, working independently, and anticipating needs.
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
