The Opportunity We’re seeking a self-motivated Account Coordinator to join our growing team. This role offers hands‑on experience across both traditional media relations and social media management, providing an excellent foundation for your PR career. You’ll work closely with senior team members while taking ownership of key client deliverables.

What You’ll Do Traditional Media Relations (50%)

Research & Monitoring: Track industry trends, breaking news, and media coverage relevant to client sectors

Content Creation: Write compelling press releases, media pitches, and advisories that generate coverage

Media Relations: Build and maintain targeted media lists using Muckrack; execute strategic media outreach

Account Management: Organize client materials and contribute strategic ideas for press campaigns

Social Media Management (50%)

Strategic Planning: Develop content calendars aligned with client business objectives

Content Creation: Craft engaging posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms

Visual Design: Create eye-catching graphics using Canva to enhance social content

Community Management: Monitor engagement, respond to followers, and track performance analytics using Sprout Social

Reporting: Assist with monthly social media performance reports and insights

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field

Internship or entry-level experience in PR, marketing, or media relations

Strong professional references from previous supervisors

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self‑motivated with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Collaborative team player with positive attitude and professional demeanor

Technical Skills

Social Media Platforms: Experience with major social networks and content scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social)

Design Software: Proficiency in Canva; Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred

Media Databases: Familiarity with Muckrack, Meltwater, or Cision platforms

Google Workspace: Strong skills in Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)

Previous agency or fast-paced environment experience

Portfolio of writing samples or social media campaigns

Knowledge of PR measurement and analytics tools
