Construction Supervisor in Liberty

Great Plains Exteriors is focused on being a trusted partner with our General Contractors providing excellence on the exteriors finishes on their multifamily apartments, senior living centers as well as commercial and mixed use developments That requires us to execute on our projects in the field at a level that separates us from the pack and demonstrates we care as much about the finished product as our customers.
A critical part of that equation is that our Field Supervisors take responsibility for executing the work in the field to maintain schedule, quality, and budget. This position will supervise field logistics, manage the daily work of our field team, and ensuring the successful completion of all subcontractor work. This position partners very closely with the Account Manager to ensure work site issues are quickly resolved, work is monitored for quality, within required safety guidelines, and project deadlines are met.
Essential Job Functions Field Management
Review job specifications and blueprints to determine construction requirements and communicate this information to all relevant parties assigned to the job site
Understand material and equipment needs for a project and coordinate their delivery at each phase of the project (either through direct contracting with a rental agency or through subcontractors)
Communicate the project schedule to the selected subcontractors to ensure they understand deadlines and when they should be onsite
Conduct regular quality inspections of trade work, determine that installations are per job specifications, and partner with subcontractors to make corrections when necessary
Consistently monitor subcontractor performance and provide feedback to the Project Manager regarding their ability to execute high‑quality, timely work product
Determine when work needs to occur outside of the contract and help issue change orders and ensure they are worked into the execution of the project
Proactively monitor projects for areas that are failing to meet expectations and identify methods to resolve issues and get projects back in line with financial, operational, and scheduling requirements
Resolve/diffuse worksite issues quickly and effectively in order to keep production on track
Make recommendations and offer solutions that improve production effectiveness and safety
Partner with the safety manager to monitor compliance with safety training requirements for the job site, participate in safety inspections, and ensure all safety guidelines are being followed on the job site
Produce and retain field reports and documentation (i.e. project schedule and cost reports, delay reports, work logs)
Supervise completion of punch lists, close out all job site file notes and documentation, and demobilize the job site at the completion of the project
Facilitate weekly jobsite meetings and participate in client meetings to report project progress and resolve outstanding production issues
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a commercial construction setting as a superintendent
High School diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience in a superintendent role
Intermediate knowledge of project management and scheduling software
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans, specifications, drawings, and project schedules
OHSA-10, OSHA-30, and First-Aid/CPR certifications, . OSHA‑10 is required within 30 days of employment
Valid drivers license

Demonstrates innovative problem‑solving and strong analytical skills that can be applied in resolving complex job site situations
Strong ability to prioritize and develop work schedules that incorporate multiple trade groups
Maintains composure, professionalism, and objectivity in difficult situations and effectively resolves conflicts without escalating tension
Demonstrates confidence in spotting construction productivity issues and taking action to resolve them before the project is negatively impacted
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and face‑to‑face
Strong ability to build relationships, influence others into action, and work exceptionally well under pressure
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of materials and resource allocation, construction tools, and execution according to plan specifications
Embraces technology and is able to use it in ways that support project success and client satisfaction
