Position Summary The IT portfolio manager will oversee the governance, alignment, and optimization of technology investments to ensure they drive strategic business outcomes, with a particular focus on financial performance. This role bridges finance and IT, ensuring that technology portfolios deliver measurable value, remain compliant with financial controls, and support enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

2 to 4 year degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Related advanced degree preferred.

2–8 years of experience in Portfolio Management, Program Management, or Technology finance.

Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Proven understanding of IT project life cycles, strategic portfolio management tools, and governance frameworks.

Experience with financial forecasting, cost allocation models, and technology investment analytics.

Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

Proficiency in portfolio management or reporting tools such as Power BI, Clarity PPM, or Service Now.

Position Responsibilities

Delivers products and services that meet rigorous technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies; champions first‑time quality by preventing, not passing on, defects and by speaking up when issues arise.

Collects, organizes, synthesizes, and analyzes data; summarizes findings and develops evidence‑based conclusions and recommendations.

Defines and documents processes to achieve goals efficiently; organizes people and activities, decomposes and integrates tasks for optimized workflow, and identifies opportunities for synergy and simplification.

Understands the big organizational picture and the interdependencies among roles and activities.

Anticipates impacts of changes across the system and applies systems thinking to accelerate performance.
