Imagine This Scenario A new assembly cell launches. You collaborate with production, engineering, and supply teams to stand up robust controls. The PFMEA is sharpened with real‑world failure modes, the Control Plan is tuned to critical characteristics, and inspection methods are validated on the floor. A minor nonconformance appears—your swift containment, root cause analysis, and preventive actions eradicate recurrence. You document the lesson and embed it into standards so every build tomorrow is better than today.
Core Responsibilities
Sustain and continually improve the Quality Management System with alignment to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Author and maintain quality documentation: PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows.
Design and validate inspection and test procedures to verify conformity.
Ensure swift, effective containment of nonconforming parts and lead corrective/preventive actions.
Execute process and product audits; quantify capability and stability; report performance trends.
Contribute to new quality policies, metrics, and training that raise operational capability.
Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards that drive data‑informed decisions.
Hands‑on engagement is essential. Be prepared to support urgent plant needs around 1–2 times each month; not all interventions require physical presence. Travel could reach 20% to collaborate with other sites.
Qualifications Required
At least 2 years of quality experience in automotive or manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Intermediate understanding of machining or assembly operations.
Competence in planning and conducting audits and driving compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience with driveline or automotive manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow documentation.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
