Recruiting Manager at Luna Data Solutions We have an exciting System Analyst opportunity with a state agency here in Austin. This is a long term (12+ months) contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or to improve existing computer systems.
Responsibilities
Assists in development of project documentation based on requirements.
Conducts requirements gathering with non-technical Subject Matter Experts to understand business process needs and program requirements to create Use Cases, flow charts, acceptance criteria and other documentation needed for system enhancements.
Analyzes new and existing business processes to determine how modifications and changes will impact the system.
Will serve as a technical expert responsible for working with non-technical and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication is maintained throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Performs necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc.
Uses current software development methods/techniques and established development standards (which include testing standards) to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications.
Provide status reports on enhancement activities and resolution of issues impacting system. Notify immediate manager and technical lead of critical issues impacting the system’s ability to deliver services as designed.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in business objectives and problems and identifying alternative solutions.
5 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or to improve existing computer systems.
5 years of experience in writing detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and/or modify computer program.
3+ years of experience with Medicaid or Medicare systems.
5 years of experience in analyzing and documenting input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reporting.
High level of sound logic and analytical ability.
Highly developed oral and written communications skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employee and elicit work output.
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
