Job Summary The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the flow of goods, equipment, and inventory within the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness from procurement to installation. The role involves strategic planning, managing relationships with suppliers and vendors, optimizing inventory, and analyzing data to improve processes and reduce costs. This position requires strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage a large network of suppliers and distributors.

Essential Functions

Inventory Management

Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish an effective supply chain.

Maintain required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.

Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of inventory.

Maintain clean tracking systems that integrate with Salesforce and NetSuite.

Collaborate with department managers and finance to ensure clean and efficient tracking of HomeWorks inventory and tools.

Acquire new vehicles as needed by searching and negotiating for the best value.

Implement a perpetual inventory management system.

Supervise the monthly inventory counts at each branch location.

Vendor Relationships

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure timely deliveries of needed goods and services.

Negotiate low prices to maximize profits while not compromising safety or quality of goods.

Identify and qualify new suppliers.

Monitor performance of suppliers by assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery needs.

Implement a vendor management program with scorecards designed to measure vendor performance as it relates to quality, on‑time delivery, procurement cycle time, etc.

Assist in the implementation of HWE’s supply chain finance program by securing minimum 70% vendor participation.

Perform additional tasks as required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, focusing on supply chain management and operations.

MBA preferred.

Five years experience as a supervisor or manager and a total of 10 years of overall experience.

One or more relevant certifications, including but not limited to:

Certified Purchasing Professional

Certified Supply Chain Professional

Certified in Production and Inventory Management

Certificate in Materials Management

Knowledge of Theory Constraints (TOC), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new software.

Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation.

Familiarity with CRM systems—Salesforce preferred.

Familiarity with NetSuite.

Experience with supply chain management software tools for executing supply chain transactions, managing supplier relationships, and controlling associated business processes.

Insight into economic conditions and market dynamics.

Excellent communication skills, including active listening.

Deadline‑ and detail‑oriented.

Ability to troubleshoot or design new processes.

Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Supervisory Responsibilities This is an individual‑contributor role that may evolve into a supervisory role overseeing a small team as the company continues to scale.

Work Environment

Office Environment: Primarily based in an open office with typical office conditions; occasional tasks may be performed outside the office.

Warehouse Environment: Position may eventually be based in a warehouse, serving as a base for operations and equipment/material storage areas.

Hybrid position: Flexible work model combining remote and on‑site work; employees are required to work in headquarters every Tuesday and Friday and maintain a distraction‑free workspace when working remotely.

Physical Demands Requires sitting at a desk for long periods, performing tasks on a computer, moving within the office to attend meetings, accessing equipment, or interacting with colleagues. The job may require travel in a personal vehicle.

Compensation $100,000 - $160,000 annually.
