Software Engineer (C/C++ Programming and ADA Desired)
At Northrop Grumman, we are looking for a Software Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA to join our Mission Systems team. The role requires 100% on‑site work and an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software systems in mission‑critical environments using C/C++ and ADA.
Debug, optimize, and test software to ensure performance, reliability, and safety compliance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and architecture.
Maintain documentation for software systems and processes.
Perform code version control, reviews, and testing.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with at least 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience in software development, testing, verification, and validation.
Experience with real‑time operating systems such as VxWorks, Integrity, or Embedded Linux.
Strong debugging, problem‑solving, math, and algorithm skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ADA programming and Jira.
Knowledge of defense and aerospace systems.
Understanding of memory management and safety‑critical software standards.
Exposure to embedded systems, hardware integration, RHEL, static/dynamic code analysis tools, Visual C++, and Python scripting.
Relocation Assistance Relocation assistance may be available.
Clearance Clearance type: Secret.
Compensation Salary range: $84,900.00 - $134,200.00.
