About Coalmarch

Coalmarch is a digital marketing agency helping field service companies, especially in the pest and green industries, grow through our proprietary website platform and data‑driven marketing strategies. We’re a team of problem‑solvers, builders, and operators who believe in growth through grit. We’ve been around for two decades, but our next chapter is more startup than legacy—new leadership, new systems, and a clear plan to scale from $8M to $50M and beyond.

What You’ll Do

Own all accounting functions: GL, AP/AR, payroll, accruals, and reconciliations

Lead month‑end and year‑end close; deliver accurate, timely financial packages

Maintain compliance and internal controls in partnership with our CPA firm and Rippling (ASO)

Manage client billing, vendor payments, and cash flow visibility

Create scalable systems and dashboards that inform leadership decisions

Develop forecasting and budgeting models that tie to EBITDA and margin targets

Partner with the CEO and leadership team on pricing strategy, automation ROI, and resource planning

Prepare investor‑ready materials and board reports

Build and eventually lead a finance team as we scale

What We’re Looking For

Raleigh‑area based

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred)

5–8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally in a service‑based or SaaS environment

A strong command of GAAP, cash flow management, and internal controls

Hands‑on familiarity with accounting systems and close processes—you know what “clean books” really means

Curiosity about FP&A, valuation, M&A, and business growth mechanics—not just compliance

Grit, humility, and hunger—someone who’s ready to punch above their title and build something lasting

Bonus Points For

Experience in an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) environment

A Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Finance/Accounting) or working on completion

What’s In It For You

Salary: $110K–$120K base + performance bonus tied to accuracy, timeliness, and EBITDA results

Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, hybrid work flexibility

Work directly with the COO and CEO

A direct mentorship path to VP Finance

The chance to help architect the finance function of a company that’s doubling in size and have a seat at the table as we explore M&A, growth equity, and valuation milestones

About You

“I could run this place better if someone just gave me the chance.”
