Neurology Movement Disorder Physician | Banner University Medicine | University of Arizona

Position Overview The Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, in collaboration with Banner - University Medicine Tucson, seeks a Board Certified / Board Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training or clinical experience in Movement Disorders to join our esteemed clinical faculty. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care and innovation, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and a full spectrum of treatment options, including deep brain stimulation (DBS) and emerging therapies. Candidates will have the opportunity to mentor residents and medical students within our vibrant residency program of 24 trainees and to participate in clinical or translational research advancing the field of movement disorders.

Clinical & Academic Environment The Department of Neurology is committed to cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care across all neurological subspecialties, with a strong emphasis on movement disorders. State-of-the-art facilities, including dedicated movement disorders clinics and neuromodulation programs.

A robust deep brain stimulation (DBS) program and advanced therapies team. Strong neurosurgery collaboration with world-renowned experts in neuromodulation.

Collaboration with physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, as well as neuropsychology and social work, to optimize patient outcomes.

An established residency program and educational infrastructure supporting academic career development and teaching excellence.

The Department of Neurology houses a robust Clinical Research Unit with dedicated personnel and infrastructure to support clinical and translational research.

Experienced clinical coordinators and regulatory support staff. Infrastructure for clinical trials, including industry- and investigator-initiated studies.

Data management and statistical support resources. This environment provides the foundation for meaningful scholarly productivity and access to novel therapeutics and emerging technologies.

Qualifications Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology and fellowship training in Movement Disorders. Eligibility for an Arizona medical license.
