RN – NST ICU – La Jolla – Nights – Bonus Eligible This is a Full Time, 12 Hour Night Shift (1900‑0730), a position benefits eligible, located at Scripps La Jolla campus. This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K.

Hospital Overview We invite you to join Scripps Memorial La Jolla, a nationally designated Magnet Hospital, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and recognized Level I Trauma Center. In the 30‑bed Neuro‑Surgical Trauma ICU (NST ICU), our highly engaged Registered Nurses are part of a Model Care Team focused on excellent standardized practices and evidence‑based patient‑centered care.

Key Clinical Experiences

Trauma surgery care, trauma care, or care of critically injured trauma patient

Comprehensive Stroke Care

Neurosurgery: EVD, Camino, Licox, Lumbar drain

Interventional Radiology

Shock and advanced resuscitation measures

Mechanical circulatory support, CRRT, MTP, Target Temperature Management

Responsibilities Include

Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.

Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.

With quality patient and family‑centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.

Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications

Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing

One year of recent RN experience in an adult ICU

California Registered Nurse License

Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS CertificationMust be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English

Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

NIH Certification

Trauma, neuro, surgical ICU experience is preferred

Able to take care of EVDs

Six (6) months of RN Progressive Care experience

Compensation Position Pay Range: $58.00‑$84.00/hour. Bonus Eligible.
