Compensation : $200000$275000 base performance incentives (total potential comp : $235000$335000)

A growing national law firm is looking to add an experienced trusts and estates attorney to its tax practice. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to develop tailored estate plans and tax strategies. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values mentorship and encourages long-term growth within the firm.
This position offers direct access to clients a wide variety of planning work and the chance to grow your own book of business in a well-supported environment.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans
Draft and review estate planning documents including wills, trusts (revocable and irrevocable), deeds and powers of attorney
Advise on gift, estate and generation‑skipping transfer tax planning
Assist in trust administration, probate proceedings and post‑death matters
Prepare and review Form 706 estate tax returns
Engage regularly with clients and help guide them through complex planning decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of estate planning experience at a law firm
Background working with high‑net‑worth clients on complex planning needs
California or Arizona Bar admission (based on office location)
Tax LL.M., CPA or strong tax foundation preferred
International estate planning experience is a plus
Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese or another language is highly valued
Strong academic credentials
