Litigator (Civil and Commercial Litigation)
About the Role: The Litigator will handle a wide range of complex civil and commercial litigation matters, representing clients in contract disputes, real estate matters, tort claims, and business litigation. The ideal candidate has at least four years of experience managing all phases of litigation, from case assessment through trial or resolution. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse cases in a collaborative, client-focused environment with opportunities for courtroom advocacy and strategic case management.
Responsibilities Manage all stages of civil and commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Represent clients in state and federal courts as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings.
Draft and argue motions, prepare briefs, and conduct legal research.
Handle real estate, contract, tort, and complex business disputes.
Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on risk management and resolution options.
Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver effective, results-driven client representation.
Maintain regular client communication and ensure exceptional service throughout each case.
Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in Arizona (or eligibility to waive in).
4 or more years of experience in civil litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to providing superior client service and maintaining professional excellence.
Desired Qualifications Clerkship experience, preferably with a federal court or state appellate court.
Experience in bankruptcy litigation or related financial disputes.
Background handling complex commercial or real estate cases.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Strong organizational skills and proactive approach to case management.
