Responsibilities

Assist the physician (gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, and/or surgeon) in general and advanced endoscopy procedures with a high degree of efficiency. Position and transport patients; prepare procedural rooms using clean and aseptic techniques. Maintain supplies and materials; actively participate in goals of the work unit; demonstrate excellent customer service. Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Related Experience: No experience required. License/Registration/Certification: Successful completion of Endoscopy Technician training program within 6 months of hire. Preferred Education/Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Proficiency in basic and advanced endoscopy procedures; direct patient care experience; attention to detail; strong planning and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication; problem-solving and resource management. Supervisory Responsibilities: No. Physical and Work Environment

The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for long periods; exposure to communicable diseases and potential injury from sharp instruments; four 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with some on-call and weekends as required by business needs.
