Position Overview Ackerman Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. With the distinction of being the only physician‑owned proton center in the world, we are committed to providing innovative and patient‑centric care.
Essential Job Functions
Deliver highly precise and closely monitored doses of radiation to cancer patients as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists.
Perform machine warm‑ups, equipment and patient set‑ups, daily treatments, simulation process, and maintain the highest standards of care.
Operate multiple units of highly technical equipment for patient setups, treatment planning, and actual daily treatments.
Make independent judgment, exhibit compassion, caring, and good communication skills.
Requirements
Completion of Radiation Oncology Therapy training.
Current FL Radiation Therapist License.
Basic Life Support.
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge of Elekta equipment.
Dosimetry, CT/Simulations, and/or medical office clinical experience.
Other Skills/Abilities
Pleasant manner.
Service oriented.
Organized.
Team player.
Hours
Full‑time: Monday‑ Friday.
Rotating shift assignments.
