Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with active ARRT (MR) certification and at least 2 years of MRI experience for a full-time acute care assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care MRI department utilizing GE 3T and GE 1.5T scanners
Department includes 2 MRI rooms, as well as CT, Xray, Nuc Med, US, IR, and Mammo rooms
Primary duties are in MRI but may float to CT, Xray, OR, Endo, and ED as needed
Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS; experience preferred
Day shifts from 10 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday, with varied call and weekend requirements
Supervisor creates the schedule; block or self-scheduling is not mentioned
Department provides radiation badge
General imaging studies performed are varied according to department needs
Successful candidates are flexible, positive, and willing to learn new skills
Holiday coverage is required
Orientation is 1-2 shifts specific to the unit
Requested time off must be submitted up front and is limited to 7 days or fewer per 13-week contract
Scrub color is not specified
Radiation badge will be provided on site
Varied call and weekend coverage required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
Active ARRT (MR) certification and BLS required
State licensure required and must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)
Ability to float to CT and Xray preferred; experience in these modalities is helpful
Driver's license required for eligibility verification
Must submit two professional references : one from a supervisor within the past 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Must not be a current employee (full time, part time, or PRN) of any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity
