Service Technicians with a Sign-On Bonus!
Chevrolet of Smithtown , located on Middle Country Rd in Saint James has an
immediate opening for all service for all levels of technicians for our union shop.
We require a reliable team player with a positive attitude who is willing to go above and beyond for the customer. Applicants must be able to multi-task in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
Top Pay for Qualified Technicians
ASE Certification
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have a clean driving record
Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
2+ years of Service Technician experience
GM experience plus
A, B, C level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
