Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-driven and analytical
Quality Engineer
to support and enhance quality assurance processes in our electronics manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will ensure that all products meet internal and external quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.).
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Analyze data from inspection and testing processes (e.g., AOI, X-ray, functional tests) to identify trends and improve yields.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) reviews to ensure quality requirements are defined and met.
Develop inspection and testing protocols for PCBAs, components, and finished goods.
Lead and support internal audits, customer audits, and third-party quality system audits.
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality (PPAP, FAI, SCAR).
Train production and inspection personnel on quality procedures and product standards.
Create and maintain documentation such as quality plans, control plans, FMEA, and process flows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in quality engineering within the electronics or high-tech manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, THT, reflow, conformal coating, and final assembly.
Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and SPC.
Familiar with inspection standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and ESD controls.
Experience with statistical software (Minitab, JMP) and ERP/MES/QMS systems.
Certification in Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, or ISO Internal Auditor is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
Electronics manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment, testing stations, and cleanroom areas (as applicable).
Use of ESD protection and adherence to safety protocols required.
May involve occasional travel to suppliers or customer sites.
