Overview
Bering Straits Global Innovations, a company within the BSNC family, is seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual for entry level construction management. The candidate will perform all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model, including quality control management, submittal tracking, daily reporting, and communicating deficiencies to the customer, along with other tasks as assigned. This position supports current contracts in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Bluemont, VA and other future locations, all based out of the BSNC Office located in Hanover, MD.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan and organize projects and sub-projects with complexity.
Drive and monitor daily progress of project work packages and activities to meet the project schedule with project team members.
Assist in developing a project schedule and SOV (Schedule of Values).
Provide detailed updates to the project team.
Train and lead new hire project engineers with oversight by PM.
Organize and maintain project documentation, artifacts, trackers, and reports.
Manage Definable Features of Work Submittal packages with the Superintendent.
Create and implement maintenance and continuous improvement efforts to project management processes and procedures.
Engage in and actively volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
Follow all required ISO procedures and comply with EH&S training requirements; travel infrequently.
Assist in ensuring project quality and review all trade contractors’ means and methods in accordance with project contract documents with the Project Superintendent.
Review and analyze submittal data on product specifications, scopes of work, plans, and engineer reports to verify quality and reliability for the client.
Develop and manage the RFI process to ensure timely logging and distribution to the appropriate contacts.
Support testing programs during construction to verify materials and installations meet specifications and assist QC in contract compliance.
Oversee plans, coordination, and the project program to ensure production aligns with established standards.
Perform random project site audits and inspect materials for specifications and contract compliance.
Interact effectively with USACE/NAVFAC Quality Control personnel.
Qualifications Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen
4-Year College Degree
USACE Quality Control Certification (can be obtained after employment)
OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
Current or ability to obtain a security clearance is preferred
Current certifications for First Aid and CPR (can be obtained after employment)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
Previous Federal DoD contract experience
Current favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI) as per AR 380-67
Valid Driver’s License

Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong organizational and communication skills
