Employee Benefits Associate – Mid to Senior Level
Location : Seattle, San Francisco, Portland
Job Type : Full-Time | Senior Associate
Salary Range : $225,000 - $330,000 (Based on experience)
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior-level Employee Benefits Associate to join its national practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to take the next step in their career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), 457(b)) and defined benefit plans
Provide M&A benefits support and counsel on executive compensation (409A)
Assist with health and welfare plans, including compliance with ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA
Work on ERISA litigation and related benefits disputes
Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and solutions tailored to their needs
Qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience in employee benefits law
Experience with private, tax-exempt, and public retirement plans
Strong knowledge of ERISA, executive compensation, and healthcare benefits laws
Excellent writing, communication, and client relationship skills
Ability to work independently and manage complex matters with minimal supervision
JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
