Technical/Functional Skills
Nonfunctional tester 5yrs+ with experience creating and conducting tests from an infrastructure point of view: server shakedown, operability, negative, failover, custom monitoring, and fallback/fall-forward testing.
Back-end systems experience (able to log into, navigate/manipulate systems such as stop/start/restart/failover). Proficiency or strong hands‑on experience in technologies for non‑functional testing such as: WebSphere, MQ, Linux/Unix (including Unix commands), Network (load-balancing/F5), Windows Server, Cluster, Git Bash, etc.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio (infra diagram) 5yrs.
Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2) and APIs, and how they are used with applications.
PMLC 5yrs, Cloud 5yrs+, Azure 3yrs+, Large technology infrastructure 5yrs.
Knowledge of Agile / Waterfall methodologies 5yrs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical concepts to partners.
Solid decision‑making, innovation, and creativity in solving problems, resolving conflicts and meeting project requirements.
Flexible and able to adapt to change easily.
Organized, self‑motivated/self‑driven and goal oriented.
Demonstrate sound time management skills.
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to successful completion.
Degree required: Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.
Experience Required
5-7 years relevant experience.
CSTE/CMST certification.
Excellent coaching skills with a desire to share knowledge with others.
Have an excellent understanding of large complex technology infrastructures.
Familiarity with Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and Agile methodologies.
Support Lean approach of metrics, visual status boards, performance dialogues, continuous improvement process.
