Description & Requirements

The Engineering Marketing Platforms group is where Bloomberg’s revenue pipeline begins. We partner closely with Marketing and Sales to build systems that identify and capture high‑value business opportunities. These platforms often power users’ first interactions with Bloomberg‑tracking engagement in marketing initiatives and managing the sales interactions that follow.

Within this group, the Outreach & Infra team is a highly skilled group of full‑stack developers and cloud engineers committed to building resilient, secure, and scalable systems, ensuring reliable delivery of over 100 Bloomberg marketing websites and applications, serving millions of users globally. Using AWS cloud services, our team architects and manages the entire infrastructure and software development lifecycle – including DNS, CDNs, load balancing, cloud security, compute, and CI/CD pipelines.

We’re looking for a seasoned developer with strong technical expertise and a passion for building resilient distributed systems. On our team, you’ll play a key role in designing solutions that enhance performance, scalability, resilience, and observability while advancing Bloomberg’s strategic goals. Our Tech Stack

Frontend: React, WordPress

Languages: Python

Databases: RDS (MySQL)

Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Git)

You’ll Be Trusted To

Design and implement performant, reliable, and scalable applications and workflows

Work across the stack, lead technical discussions, and conduct code reviews

Own processes end‑to‑end—from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support

Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions

Apply strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and algorithms

Communicate clearly and work effectively across teams

You’ll Need To Have

4 years of programming experience with an object‑oriented programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Shell Scripting)

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience

4 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer, with a track record of designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions

We’d Love To See

Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiarity working with general web technologies – DNS, CDN, Load balancers, etc.

Demonstrated ability working with or designing highly‑available, fault‑tolerant distributed systems using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and solid background in CI/CD pipeline development and automation

Comfort with security

AWS Associate certification or above

Experience using data and metrics to drive iterative software development

Expertise in analyzing and fixing large‑scale distributed systems

Familiarity managing public cloud networking resources

Salary Range = 00 USD Annually Benefits Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
