Responsibilities
Monitoring Data Warehouse Applications’ Jobs and processes, troubleshooting failures and taking lead to resolve them.
Providing operational support such as stopping/starting Data Warehouse Apps’ jobs and processes during maintenance of environments/servers on both On‑Prem and Cloud environments.
Reviewing deployment guide and providing deployment support for new projects related to Data Warehouse Apps.
Leading complex production issues, coordinating with several teams, and driving issues to resolution.
Helping document production processes and procedures, job guides and aides.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
Linux knowledge and familiarity with working in Linux environment.
Relational DB concepts and usage (Oracle/SQL, MySQL or similar).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Collaboration with offshore and nearshore teams, as well as Development, Infrastructure and DBA teams.
Ability to work independently, address client questions, and drive issues to closure.
Quick learner of new technologies.
Flexible with timing; shifts 8 AM–5 PM or 12 PM–9 PM, with occasional weekend shifts (once every 3–4 weeks).
Nice to have
Experience in IT Operations and Production support.
Knowledge of Linux scripting languages (Shell or Bash).
Experience with Tivoli Work Scheduler or similar job scheduler.
Azure and Snowflake experience and certification.
