We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations within the chemical industry. This role demands deep expertise in logistics, regulatory compliance, and global supply chain strategy.
Role Purpose Lead, manage, develop and implement supply chain strategies to achieve business objectives. Drive international and national logistics movements, inventory management and optimize transportation and distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution: formulate overall strategy for supply chain process aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Partner with internal & external stakeholders to drive organization objectives.
Logistics & Inventory Management: drive S&OP and warehousing management systems.
Monitor & ensure compliance within various statutory and audit requirements.
Cultivate relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure superior service delivery.
Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers, domestic and international.
Enhance quality objectives by monitoring measurables for effectiveness.
Implement corrective preventive action plans.
Provide logistics plan on a timely basis to ensure availability of finished goods as per customer requirement. Review the same in real‑time.
Publish metrics on performance to leadership at agreed upon frequency.
Lead Team: establish, mentor and cultivate a high‑performing team that achieves established goals while delivering optimal results, added value and ongoing enhancements.
Establish departmental goals and KPIs, regularly evaluating and assessing performance as part of overall strategy.
Process Improvements: streamline logistics processes to meet customer and company requirements, focusing on cost improvement projects.
Implement and lead digitization projects in logistics to enhance efficiency.
Adopt & recommend advanced logistics technology solutions to improve operational processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.
Certified APICS CSCP / CPSM / CPIM / CLTD are a plus.
Knowledge of contemporary supply chain software and tools.
Strong knowledge of global trade regulations and compliance.
10+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role within the chemicals, manufacturing, consumer goods industry.
