What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement safety policies and site‑specific plans
Conduct regular jobsite safety audits and risk assessments
Lead safety training for new hires and ongoing field education
Investigate incidents and manage root‑cause analysis
Collaborate with field staff and management to enforce safe work practices
Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and all regulatory standards
Monitor safety metrics and champion continuous improvement
Qualifications:
5+ years in construction safety (MEP/electrical experience preferred)
OSHA 30 required; CHST, CSP, or other certifications a plus
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and NFPA 70E
Hands‑on experience in the field and with skilled trades personnel
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety software tools
Valid driver’s license required
Physical Demands: Walking and Standing Frequent walking and standing for extended periods, often across uneven terrain, in all weather conditions.
Climbing and Balancing Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs, or into/out of trenches and elevated workspaces to inspect electrical installations and work areas.
Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling Regular need to bend, kneel, or crouch to access confined areas or assess low‑clearance electrical components.
Lifting and Carrying Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., safety gear, testing devices, documentation binders).
Reaching and Handling Use of hands and arms to operate tools, safety devices, or computers/tablets during site visits or inspections.
Vision and Hearing Requirements
Strong visual acuity (with or without correction) to read labels, blueprints, and warning signs.
Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to recognize alarms, equipment noise, or verbal communication in noisy environments.
Exposure to outdoor weather, loud machinery, electrical hazards, dust, and construction site elements.
Use of PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc.) is mandatory and may be worn for long periods.
Travel and Site Mobility Regular travel between job sites may be required, with flexibility to be mobile throughout the workday.
Manual Dexterity Precise hand‑eye coordination for tasks such as lockout/tagout, inspecting wiring, or using electrical testing equipment.
