Overview
Senior Data Analyst, Supply Chain Logistics
is a key member of the Supply Chain Logistics team and will support the development and execution of product flow and fulfillment analytics to support decision-making across the VF Supply Chain and brands. A heavy emphasis will be on outbound logistics data warehousing, data structure, advanced analytics, reporting and support inbound logistics analytics and reporting. The role operates across a highly matrixed, multinational organization supporting the Americas’ analytics team and helps drive the organization's strategic advantage through more in-depth analyses (descriptive statistics, segmentation, trend analysis, forecasting, etc.). The role consults with the Logistics team and various VF functional areas to assess and address information needs, and to manage, analyze, and synthesize data into insights to influence decisions and action planning. The individual should have a passion for data and data-driven thinking, and be adept at extracting patterns from large data sets to drive strategy and operational efficiencies. The role leads analytical efforts related to product flow and order fulfillment, network optimization, and other areas within the Supply Chain, and works with key stakeholders to build analytic capabilities within VF Corporate and Brand teams. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Drive an analytics focused culture within Supply Chain and across brands globally, covering both inbound and outbound flows. Brand Consulting: perform ongoing advanced analytical projects in support of brand strategies and tactics (network optimization, cost and service impact analysis, ROI analysis). Present results to drive fact-based decision making. Support BI Reporting: collaborate with brands and Direct-to-Consumer leadership to develop BI dashboards highlighting KPIs across brands, regions, and channels. Includes multi-source data integration and development in BI tools (Tableau and Power BI). Data Infrastructure: provide technical leadership for analytics projects and recommend data architecture strategy in collaboration with IT and Data Governance teams. Tool Assessment: develop and deploy analytical tools and data science techniques to analyze complex data sets. Support Process Improvement: bring industry best practices to analytics processes to create time efficiencies and broaden focus areas. Monitor trends in data science and alternative sources to ensure alignment with best-in-class tools and techniques. What do you need to succeed? We value unique skills and experience. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. While a formal degree in a related field is beneficial, the role requires 3+ years of experience and professional achievements. The foundation skills required: 5+ years of analytics, insights, and data management (MDM) experience 3+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or other data visualization software 3+ years of experience with statistical data modeling and analytical methodology including regression, classification, clustering, time-series analysis, etc. Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong presentation skills BA/BS required; master’s degree in a quantitative field is desirable Strong analytical and negotiating skills with financial acumen Understanding of Supply Chain best practices and trends (helpful but not required) Ability to influence and navigate a matrixed organization and keep stakeholders informed Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to simplify complex analyses for accessible communication Future-oriented thinker with awareness of external practices and trends Calm under uncertainty or change and able to set a productive tone High integrity with clear values Global outlook with sensitivity to cultural differences Understanding of outbound logistics and transportation modes Location: hybrid role, minimum 3 days in office Hiring details Are you in?
