Head North America Procurement Main Responsibilities:
Advocate for region in alignment with global Category Managers, focus on continuous development and identify potential opportunities.
Ensure respective region is aligned with procurement strategy and category strategies in terms of consistency with the overall corporate strategy.
Consolidate and review the spend for respective region.
Collect local specifications and requirements for subcategory development throughout the region.
Support implementation of the procurement strategy under the consideration of region specifics.
Provide functional guidance to regional procurement team.
Review and evaluate sourcing needs across respective categories.
Collaborate with the global Category Manager and support the supplier selection and manage contracts and negotiations for the region.
Assess and monitor the defined budget with Head of Global Procurement.
Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements within region to existing processes, organization and governance.
Conduct regular cross-region alignment meetings (e.g., hot topics, escalations, …).
What You Bring:
Master's degree.
Working knowledge of SAP and of the most common procurement tools.
Minimum 7 years relevant work experience in procurement field.
