Job Overview Refrigeration Engineer required for our client, a leading refrigeration company based in Essex. The role involves completing routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on a range of Commercial Refrigeration units such as Blast Chillers, Blast Freezers, Glycol Chillers, CO2 systems, and Cooling Tunnels across the Northern region of London (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridge).

Responsibilities

Perform routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on Commercial Refrigeration units including Blast Chillers, Blast Freezers, Glycol Chillers, CO2 systems, and Cooling Tunnels.

Ensure all maintenance work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

Travel between sites allowing up to a 50-hour week and visiting locations across the Northern region of London.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience completing service and maintenance works on Commercial Refrigeration systems such as Chillers, FGAS.

City & Guilds Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Hydrocarbon (6187) qualification – essential.

CSCS Card – essential.

MEWP & PASMA certificates – desirable.

Experience working in industrial settings, including Food Manufacturing/Storage Centres, Distribution Centres, and Large Office Buildings.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Salary & Benefits

£50-55K per annum based on experience.

50-hour week (site and travel time).

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Overtime rate 1.5 & 2x.

Company call-out rota, retainer, overtime, and door‑to‑door travel pay.
