Job Description The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro, also known as General Service Tech, is an entry‑level position that offers a comprehensive mechanic training program covering all aspects of the role. As a General Service Technician, you will be an essential team member, performing maintenance services on guest vehicles and working together to deliver 5‑Star guest experiences. Your technician skills will help care for people’s cars and ensure safe, reliable transportation.

Compensation Hourly rate: $16 – $17, based on experience. Additional compensation and incentives may apply.

Responsibilities

Keyholder duties, including supervision of the shop while the Store Manager is not working.

Running end‑of‑day paperwork and cash handling.

Assisting the store manager with duties and responsibilities.

Mechanic duties such as changing, mounting, and installing tires.

Wheel removal, tire repair and balance, tire patch/plug repairs.

Quick lube services, including lubrication and oil change.

Inspecting and rotating tires.

Performing basic automotive maintenance, such as battery installation.

Training to perform alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance services.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

HS diploma or GED equivalent.

Automotive experience.

Own basic set of mechanic tools or participate in a tool purchase program.

Valid driver's license.

Minimum age 18.

Positive attitude and collaborative mindset.

Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

Automotive Technician or Lube and Tire experience.
