Research Program Coordinator The University of Maryland, Baltimore has an opportunity for a 12‑month grant‑funded, contractual research program coordinator. During the contract, the selected candidate will support the co‑PIs in the development phase of the Entrepreneurship & Science Communication for Aging and Aging‑related Research (ESCAAR) program. The Coordinator will oversee and assist the co‑PIs in structuring research efforts, coordinate communication among co‑PIs, the advisory committee, and program faculty, develop course modules and learning activities, liaise with the evaluation team and vendors, and establish databases and communication structures for program management.

Primary Duties

Coordinate activities and functions of the program to achieve its goals within stated priorities, time and funding limits.

Manage day‑to‑day operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Collect and record data on program activities, produce progress and outcome reports.

Recruit participants and volunteers using appropriate promotional methods.

Assist in preparing proposals for funding and continuation from external sponsors.

Maintain liaison with students, faculty, staff, and community agencies; build strong relationships to grow programming.

Schedule, market, and promote program events through independently developed promotional materials and event plans.

Coordinate and supervise work‑study students, volunteers, and contractual employees as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education Bachelor’s degree.

Experience One year of administrative or program coordination experience.

Other In lieu of the required education, related experience and formal education may be substituted on a one‑year‑for‑one‑year basis with 30 undergraduate credits equivalent to one year of related experience.

Hiring Range $54,500 - $61,000, commensurate with education and experience.
