Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and 3+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent work experience (7+ years) in Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing, or International Commerce (Import/Export).
Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other government agencies.
Strong understanding of product portfolio and production processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience using SAP or a Global Trade system.
Strong project management and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products is a plus.
Ability to maintain compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations.
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
Description
Expedite the import/export process by liaising with regional Import/Export coordinators, Warehousing/Distribution, and Plant & Production Planning.
Coordinate logistics for import/export shipments (ocean, air, land, rail) in collaboration with freight forwarders, brokers, Transportation Contract Managers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure all work is completed in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to internal policies and government regulations.
Verify that all documentation is accurate and compliant with U.S. and foreign customer requirements.
Audit team members’ files to ensure audit readiness and participate in internal or external (USCBP/EPA) audits as needed.
Process all orders accurately, timely, and in compliance for assigned countries and/or product portfolios.
Stay current on all applicable import/export regulations through formal training and self-guided learning.
Develop, maintain, and train team members and stakeholders on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned portfolios.
Collaborate cross-functionally, across divisions and internationally, to identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement.
Serve as the key contact for foreign partners/customers.
Conduct import/export operations process training as required.
Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed.
