Experience:
Minimum 2+ years in Purchasing and Supply Chain. Preferred experience in regulated and/or Pharmaceutical industry.
Summary The Buyer is responsible for procurement of raw materials, components and supporting MRO and Indirect Services sourcing. The Buyer will analyze and review MRP system, place and monitor orders, and ensure product quality and timely delivery. This full‑time on‑site role collaborates with cross‑functional peers in Operations to support placement of orders for supplies, MRO, and indirect services.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and review MRP and manage Purchase Orders, including placement, follow‑up, expedites, push out, etc.; update MRP system with status of open PO.
Source and execute orders for supplies, MRO items and indirect services.
Support new product launches and ensure direct‑material purchasing meets target dates.
Facilitate and lead meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain and monitor key performance metrics (on‑time delivery, fill rate, quality, service) and demonstrate performance against metrics.
Resolve supplier issue and expedite escalation to Purchasing Manager promptly.
Obtain required documentation from suppliers (packing slips, C of A, etc.) and meet PO requirements.
Communicate proactively about inventory supply constraints to minimize impact on service level and inventory targets.
Collaborate with Finance and Receiving to resolve invoice and delivery discrepancies, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
Assist with change orders and related change owners.
Represent Purchasing in cross‑functional projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing workflows.
Analyze procurement data for process optimization and cost savings.
Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum Associate Degree.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
CPMF or CSCP certification is a significant plus.
Supply chain/Purchasing experience and understanding of generic pharmaceutical is helpful.
Able to work in fast‑paced, multi‑task environment with shifting priorities.
