Responsibilities

Support of customers with telephone and on‑site troubleshooting and diagnosis procedure

Work in an unsupervised environment to provide installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance services for Hermle’s products at customer locations in a timely manner

Identification of machine spare parts for quoting purposes

Briefing and training of customers

Installation of retrofits

Periodic overseas travel to Germany for learning the product line and maintaining that product knowledge

Working with SAP‑Software

Daily work time reporting through time management system

Weekly submission of service reports as well as expense reports

Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested

Requirements

Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues of machine tools

Knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Siemens control systems

Proficient knowledge of electronic and mechanical aspects of CNC machines, preferably 5‑axis machines

Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics in machine tools

Proficiency in using computers

Professional Interaction with Customers

Microsoft Office knowledge is mandatory

Extensive travel is required (including international)
