Senior Tax Accountant
Job Summary :
Seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with a minimum of four years of experience in public accounting on behalf of one of our clients situated in Troy, Michigan. This opportunity is well-suited for individuals aspiring to attain or who recently acquire their CPA designation. The likelihood of career advancement and professional development within the organization is substantial.
Job Responsibilities :
Organize, prepare, and execute compilation, review, and audit engagements
Generate financial statements, including relevant note disclosures
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns and collaborate with the client engagement team to discuss roles, responsibilities, risk areas, materiality, and deadlines. Inclusive of compilation, review, and audit
Thrive in time-sensitive environments, delivering high-quality work, while promptly addressing and resolving client issues
Mentor and train junior staff, investing in their professional growth and development
Foster strong relationships with clients, managers, and partners, delivering exceptional client service
Required Skills :
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting
Completion of, or in the process of attaining, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
Ideally, possess over 4 years of experience in public practice and tax preparation
Familiarity with UltraTax, Creative Solutions, and QuickBooks online and desktop software is advantageous
GAAP prepared financial statement knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work diligently and meet deadlines
Keen attention to detail
Strong desire to be an integral part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team environment, displaying a positive attitude and willingness to learn
