Vice President of Human Resources @ Vicente LLP | SPHR®, SHRM‑SCP Vicente LLP is seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑driven Finance Manager to manage the firm’s accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position plays a key role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer with all aspects of the firm’s financial management, including daily accounting tasks, cash flow monitoring, month‑end close, and compliance reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, preferably with experience in professional services or legal trust accounting.

Requirements Accounting Operations & Financial Management

Perform daily and weekly cash, bank, and revenue reconciliations across multiple accounts.

Conduct recurring trust account reconciliations to ensure compliance with legal trust requirements.

Manage accounts payable processing, including vendor setup, invoice review, and timely payments.

Coordinate biweekly payroll with the firm’s payroll provider and post related general ledger entries.

Coordinate and monitor cash disbursements to ensure timely and accurate availability.

Oversee the firm’s credit card program, including transaction review, coding, and employee expense reconciliation.

Manage routine expense processing, review approvals, and ensure accurate classification in the general ledger.

Maintain the firm’s QuickBooks Online accounting system and ensure accurate cash‑basis ledger maintenance.

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports promptly after close, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Manage state sales and use tax filings, ensuring the timely submission of required reports.

Coordinate annual 1099 processing and filings.

Track and reconcile partner accounts, including draws, capital contributions, and distributions.

Coordinate tax return preparation and initiate tax payments for the firm and related holding companies.

Prepare and submit bank and trust compliance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Support various audits, including insurance, workers’ compensation, and state reporting requests.

Process Improvement & Support

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Serve as the point of contact for the firm’s external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.

Maintain a robust internal control environment and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).

Experience managing cash‑basis accounting and monthly close processes.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred

Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.

Familiarity with trust accounting, payroll reconciliation, and multi‑entity reporting.

Experience with sales/use tax reporting and partner capital tracking.

CPA License is a plus.

Job Environment and Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, write, speak or hear. This position will work in an office environment, with indoor conditions in an environmentally controlled environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the time.
