We currently have numerous design and inspection assignments for transportation infrastructure related projects within the region. Responsibilities
Develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates
Perform structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis), sketches, computer modeling, and similar technical work as required
Perform load ratings on bridges and other structures
Adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures
Effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the design team
Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of bridges and other structures
Research design options and codes and discuss with the project manager
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, in Civil or Structural Engineering
0 to 6 years of experience (3 preferred) of relevant experience
EIT certification and Wisconsin PE license or the ability to obtain within four years
Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D, MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare Brr, etc
Experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A highly motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic
Familiarity with inspection, design and construction of bridges or other structures
Familiarity with WisDOT procedures preferred
