JOB SUMMARY: Performs duties to accurately apply ionizing radiation to patients of all age groups from pediatric through geriatric in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist. General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS, Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification-requirements- ARRT/W Virginia state License. How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 1 Truebeam treatment and 1 Siemens CT Simulator. Will they have to float/cover any other areas? No. Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Radiation therapy, Simulations, Blocks. Experience or 'Must have' skills - Radiation Therapy. Average # of scans/studies per day: 17-20. EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use? Aria/PACS/Meditech. Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Truebeam, Siemens. Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Erin Jackson. Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No. Radiologist in-house? Yes. Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) No, the RN does that. Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) No, the Lead Therapist does that. Weekend Requirements: No. Holiday Requirements: No. Call or Standby requirement? Response time? No. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Black, not provided - Department specific orientation: Yes.
