Electrical Engineer – Hardware Engineering Location: Huntsville, AL (On-site) Clearance: Active Secret required

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited university.

2+ years of professional experience (0 years with Master's).

2+ years of recent experience using a CAD package such as Visio, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, Siemens Capital Suites (Logic/Harness), or NX to develop technical drawings.

Experience with engineering PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and MRP systems (e.g., SAP).

Proven experience leading small engineering projects, including task and schedule planning.

Experience generating technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, test procedures, and program documentation.

Experience in electrical/power system design, network communication design, cable harness design, and electrical load analysis.

Hands‑on experience researching, designing, integrating, testing, and deploying electrical components or subsystems.

Experience reviewing engineering specifications, schematics, and drawings, with the ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.

Strong understanding of industry and defense electrical engineering standards and procedures, including component design, trade studies, and impact assessments.

Experience evaluating COTS and military components for compliance and system requirements.

Experience in one or more systems engineering domains, including requirements derivation, system design, verification/validation, and trade studies.

Must possess an active Secret clearance and be able to work on-site, in-office.

Qualifications

Experience with mission- and safety-critical systems.

Familiarity with MDA Core Standards (e.g., MDA-QS-001-MAP, MDA-QS-003-PMAP, MDA Instruction-INS).
