About the Role CLA is looking to hire a

Senior Total Rewards Analyst

for our Talent Solutions practice. The Senior Total Rewards Analyst supports the development, implementation, and day‑to‑day management of total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and leave of absence for our clients. You will play a key role in shaping the employee experience with compliant, employee‑centric programs grounded in market benchmarking and practical insights. This role collaborates closely with the Total Rewards and HR Directors to deliver exceptional client service.

Compensation

Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to provide pay recommendations.

Develop compensation philosophies, design salary structures, build job architecture frameworks, and draft pay practice guidelines to support equitable, competitive, and scalable total rewards strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Conduct formal assessments of job roles to determine appropriate Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption classifications, focused on compliance with federal wage and hour regulations.

Build customized nonprofit peer groups for clients to support the determination of reasonable executive compensation aligned with IRS guidelines and market practices.

Design variable pay plans, including short‑term, long‑term, and sales compensation programs, aligned with organizational goals, performance metrics, and talent strategies.

Apply knowledge of compensation regulations and federal, state, and local wage and hour laws such as FLSA to inform clients on best practices for hiring, training, compensating, and evaluating employees.

Advise clients on reporting requirements and resolution of classification and salary questions.

Benefits

Provide strategic guidance on employee benefits programs, including plan design and broker selection through formal RFP processes. Advise employers on Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance requirements and support the development of benefits strategies that align with organizational goals and workforce needs.

Responsible for day‑to‑day enrollment and life event processing in coordination with third‑party administrators, brokers, and carriers.

Support annual open enrollment including project planning, testing and QA of elections, employee communications, and coordination with brokers and carriers.

Assist with company and statutory leaves including FMLA, state Paid Family & Medical Leave, personal/medical leaves, parental, military, and any company programs.

Provide guidance on compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125, and applicable state leave laws.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Finance.

Proven experience of 5+ years of progressive experience in total rewards program management in compensation and benefits.

In‑depth knowledge of compensation practices, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data‑driven recommendations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into actionable total rewards strategies for clients.

Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth organization.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated experience in client relationship and vendor management.

Preferred professional certifications: SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP, certification, Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office products.
