We’re expanding our commercial team with a

Senior Key Account Manager

to deepen partnerships, unlock new revenue, and bring the voice of the customer back to product teams.

Responsibilities

Own and grow relationships across Core, Key, and Growth Accounts; build executive-level trust and multi-year account plans.

Support key accounts in the Chicagoland area, traveling as required to clients and HQ in Hickory, NC.

Achieve budgeted sales across assigned lines while managing selling expenses.

Align US Conec planning with customer roadmaps; promote connector solutions using professional selling and technical credibility.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver results.

Coach and support Inside Sales/Customer Service; partner with Strategic Account Managers on joint programs.

Feed market and competitive insights to Product; identify new product opportunities and support launches, promotions, press, and trade shows.

Proactively manage field performance issues and provide clear monthly updates to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (technical/engineering exposure a plus) and 10+ years of business experience with emphasis on sales/account management.

3+ years commercial experience in fiber optics or adjacent data‑center hardware (e.g., cabling, plastics/injection molding, racks/power/cooling).

Strong knowledge of fiber‑optic cable, connectors, and hardware; comfortable discussing standards and termination methods.

Polished communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; Salesforce/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.

Willingness to travel 50% or more, as required; ideal for Chicago‑area candidates as all key accounts are based in the area.
