Job Title Frosh‑Soph/JV Head Coach – Soccer (Girls JV)
Supervisor Athletic Director under the direction of the site principal
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques needed for soccer.
Demonstrate successful personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership.
Organize practices and design conditioning programs in collaboration with varsity head coach and athletic director.
Manage schedules, maintain equipment and uniforms, and inventory equipment.
Communicate with parents, students, staff, and the community.
Instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork in athletes of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
Help students balance academics and athletics.
Work cooperatively with varsity head coach and all sport program coaches.
Follow CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct, BVAL policies, and district protocols regarding cash handling.
Maintain equipment inventory per varsity head coach/athletic director directives.
Minimum Qualifications
Playing experience in soccer at high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional level.
Coaching experience in youth leagues, middle school, or sports camps in soccer, or equivalent experience.
Current California coaching certifications.
Current mandatory reporter training.
Pass District Fingerprint clearance.
Professional references.
Additional Requirements / Qualifications
Complete Edjoin online application and submit cover letter, resume, TB test, CPR, First Aid, ASEP, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), Heat Illness Prevention Certificate, Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment training, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Integrated Pest Management, and Concussion certification prior to employment.
Coach of Second Team eligible only if season limits lifted and team authorized for participation.
Provide Letter of Introduction and resume.
