Job Title: Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) – Site Safety Manager III
Position Type: Contract
Summary:
The Site Safety Manager oversees all safety and health aspects during a construction plant outage. This person ensures contractors follow safety programs, laws, and regulations, conducts safety inspections and audits, and reports compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor construction and contractor activities for safety compliance.
Conduct safety observations, audits, and inspections.
Review and approve contractor safety plans.
Attend project and safety meetings.
Prepare daily safety and incident reports.
Report directly to the Corporate Construction Safety Manager.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field (experience may substitute).
Certifications:
CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHT, GSP, or similar (BCSP accredited).
Experience:
5+ years in construction safety.
5+ years in a supervisory safety role.
Owner‑representative experience preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license.
