We seek a Staff Accountant with extensive QuickBooks experience to join our finance team. This role combines general accounting expertise with cost analysis and financial efficiency initiatives, making it ideal for a seasoned accounting professional looking to have a strategic impact. You will be responsible for financial reporting, cost optimization, and operational analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards while driving business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and year-end close.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing through QuickBooks.
Assist in financial audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance.
Optimize QuickBooks processes to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
Support leadership in enhancing internal controls and accounting procedures.
Analyze cost structures, pricing models, and expense allocations to improve financial efficiency.
Develop and monitor cost standards, budget variances, and profit margins.
Collaborate with operations and finance teams to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Conduct inventory valuation, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide insights for budget planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to cost accounting.
Expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
Strong proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, etc.).
Excellent analytical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Experience in IT, construction, or service‑based industries is a plus.
