Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight
The Finance & Accounting Program Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day finance functions in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The manager maintains oversight of all fiscal activity, performs fiscal planning and financial analyses, serves as the department’s approver of purchases and expenses, maintains financial and accounting documentation, advises the Department’s Director of Finance and Administration on fiscal measures, and manages departmental finance and accounting projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, financial, health/public administration, or a closely related field
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis
4 years of financial management experience OR a combination of education and experience may substitute for the required financial management experience on a year‑for‑year basis
Preferred Qualifications
Four (4) or more years of experience managing finances including grant and gift funding, processing reimbursements, budget management, and reconciling accounts
Three (3) or more years of experience working in an academic medical center and/or school of medicine
Experience managing complex funds associated with multiple institutions
Experience working with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and orally
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
Outstanding customer service skills
High degree of technical skills in fiscal management, knowledge of accounting and business practices, and use of financial and accounting software packages
Strong financial management skills and the ability to manage funds effectively from a variety of sources
Solid understanding of budget development and management; billing operations, reimbursements, financial contracts, and consulting agreements
Team player and team builder who can delegate appropriately and lead by example
