Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks part‑time clinical nursing faculty to teach with our BSN Nursing program in Maui, Hawaii.

Job Description Part‑time clinical nursing faculty will mentor students in person at an inpatient clinical setting in Maui, connecting classroom learning with real‑world application. This role bridges the gap between instruction and practice, ensuring students are well‑prepared and confident in delivering high‑quality care.
Scheduling
Schedule determined based on course needs and clinical specialty for each 8‑week session.
Typically 3–4 consecutive 12‑hour shifts over 1–2 weeks per session.
Additional dates may not be available and clinical dates are not guaranteed.
Pediatric Nursing Focus Students demonstrate nursing skills in an inpatient pediatric health care center. The course emphasizes family‑centered care and covers normal child development and health disorders from infancy through adolescence.
Responsibilities
Implement the college’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
Be available for staff and agency interactions.
Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students based on course objectives.
Provide remediation as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and procedures.
Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with student learning needs.
Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, and clinical paperwork promptly.
Contribute to program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Teach didactic course content under supervision of a course coordinator.
Inform the course coordinator of all student and agency issues.
Collaborate with college administration, staff, and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction.
Participate in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental and campus policies.
Serve as a professional role model for faculty, staff, and students in service, collaboration, communication, professionalism, and attendance.
Use relationship skills for group problem solving and negotiation.
Comply with all regulatory rules and standards.
Report to the dean or assistant dean; a course coordinator will provide direct oversight.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
Unencumbered professional nursing license in Hawaii.
At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
Passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
Exceptional subject‑matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to serve students and colleagues with respect and care.
Sense of responsibility and purpose, desire to enrich colleagues, students, and community.
IL nursing license will be required before accepting any clinical contract for a session.
Compensation Expected compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, adjusted based on job‑related factors such as course type, experience, licensure, certification, location, budgets, and responsibility.
