A respected Houston-based law firm is seeking a mid-level attorney to support its growing property owners association (POA/HOA) practice. This role is ideal for attorneys with experience advising community associations and handling a broad range of HOA governance, compliance, and enforcement matters.

Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Serve as corporate counsel for assigned association clients, offering practical legal guidance on day-to-day operations

Draft, revise, and interpret governing documents, including bylaws, declarations, and rules

Attend and advise board and member meetings

Oversee legal assistants and ensure timely, accurate completion of tasks

Prepare and pursue judicial foreclosures and related litigation

Conduct legal research and draft court pleadings, legal opinions, and correspondence

Maintain a full-time, in-person schedule and meet weekly billing expectations (30–40 hours/week)

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in Texas; admission to the Southern District of Texas preferred

3–6 years of experience working with HOAs, POAs, or in a real estate or municipal law setting

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal billing software a plus

Highly organized and able to manage multiple active matters under deadlines

Strong writing, research, and communication skills

Professional, approachable, and client-oriented mindset

Comfortable supervising support staff and working in a fast-paced legal environment
