As the
Maintenance Planner
at our Direct Air Capture facility in
Ector County, TX
you will:
Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products
Support and participate in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe and environmentally sound work environment
Support the safety process systems through participation in planned inspections, job observations, near miss reporting, incident investigation, area audits, and other programs as required
Plan and set schedules for maintenance work for Oxy, A1 and outside contractors
Determine logistics completion of projects, define work scope, labor requirements, material & equipment
Procure equipment, materials and services per plant specifications and procedures, using SAP to initiate, process, and track purchase requisitions and deliveries
Track area planning backlog and work orders, ensuring data is current and accurate
Create and maintain Preventative Maintenance schedules (PM’s) for equipment, as needed
Create/maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for all major pieces of equipment in assigned areas of the plant and ensures accuracy of stores inventory requirements by evaluating maintenance needs, specifications and quantities
Backfill for maintenance supervisors as required for vacation, outages, etc., and provide off hour support
Procure equipment, materials and services, per plant specifications and procedures
Make recommendations on equipment and materials to purchase, as well as recommendations on external resources (i.e., vendors)
Coordinate and monitor fieldwork being performed by contractors and indirectly oversee the work of contract groups and evaluate results
Evaluate contractor performance and makes recommendations for contractor assignments
Assist engineers with plant projects, technical details, & specifications and makes recommendations on projects such as timeline, labor requirements, work scope and material
Develop and prepare maintenance projects for AFE submittal
Make recommendations on projects such as timelines, labor requirements, work scope and material
Use the Management of Change process to develop, document, and implement plant PSM changes
Track area planning backlog and work orders to ensure data is current and accurate
Provide on-site, off-hours, call-out support, as needed, to cover maintenance issues, direct personnel, & obtain materials or services
Continually looks for opportunities to improve plant reliability & to reduce plant costs
Support the Process Safety and Risk Management goals and objectives and participate in site-wide Process Safety and Risk Reduction activities as requested
Support and fulfill the requirements of the plant’s ISO Quality System
Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by Plant Management
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in repair, installation, troubleshooting and upkeep of plant equipment/facilities
Working knowledge of the routine maintenance process, regulations and policies.
High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and good working knowledge of SAP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to read, write and speak in English
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs
Walking, bending, stooping is required
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator and respond to visual and audible alarms
